CHESHIRE - Ann "Nan" D'Amato passed away Sunday morning, March 18, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Dominic D'Amato.
Mrs. D'Amato was born on March 6th, 1929 in New Haven the daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Frager) Boccamaiello. She was a graduate of Hillhouse High School in New Haven and attended the University of Connecticut. She married Dominic D'Amato in 1950 and was an executive secretary in the New Haven area for several years.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, her kindness to all creatures, her appreciation for the arts, and her love of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Connecticut Lady Huskies basketball team.
Besides her husband of 61 years, Mrs. D'Amato is survived by her two daughters, Robin D'Amato of New York City and Saundra "Sandy" D'Amato and her husband Michael Karcz of Memphis TN, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Boccamaiello.
Arrangements - Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
