NAUGATUCK — Charles F. Angiolillo, 96, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. He was the widower of Anna Marie (Maffeo) Angiolillo.

Mr. Angiolillo was born on May 1, 1916 in Naugatuck, a son of the late Domenic Angiolillo and Mary (Nardello) Angiolillo. He was retired early at the age of 60 from the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division, where he had worked for many years and had also served as divisional chairman under Frank Hayden for Union Local No. 45.

He was an avid Yankees, Giants, and UConn men's and women's basketball fan. He enjoyed watching quiz game shows on TV and was an avid 10 pin and duckpin bowler.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen Guardiani and her husband Thomas, of Naugatuck, with whom he lived; one brother, Francis Angiolillo of Waterbury; and a sister-in-law, Rose Angiolillo of Naugatuck.

He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews whom he loved dearly, including his special nieces and nephews, John, Barbara and Bette Ollero and Sharon Morrissey, whom he loved dearly and special great-nephews, Jeff and Stephen Musante, with whom he enjoyed spending every holiday.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Ollero and Lena Iassogna; three brothers, William, Domenic and Joseph; and two nephews, Leonard and Raymond Ollero.

Mr. Angiolillo's family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Saint Mary's Hospital Xavier 3, the Naugatuck VNA nurses, especially Mary and Kathy, Naugatuck VNA aide Vickie, Dr. Ralph Tremaglio and staff, Dr. Robert Matusz and staff and Griswold Agency aide Nicole for the wonderful care that they provided.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a Mass at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m.
