Naugatuck-Ruby L. (Mullins) Anderson, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Arthur H. Anderson, II.
Ruby was born on January 6, 1926 in Hardy, AR a daughter of the late Richard and Athena (Neal) Mullins. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Waterbury Nursing for many years before retiring. Ruby was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She had a gentle, beautiful spirit; she loved God, animals, flowers, crocheting, bird-watching and most of all her family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Jodie Giragosian, Donna Fritz, and Ruby P. Anderson, her eight sons, Arthur H. Anderson III, Nils Anderson, Stephen Anderson, Robert Anderson, Richard Anderson, Gary Anderson, Matthew Anderson, and Charles Anderson, her brother, Richard Mullins, and close companion of many years, Ervin Wright. She will also be missed by thirty-four grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Thompson of Virginia and sister-in-law Johanna Boyson.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home of Naugatuck has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family will be holding a Memorial Service on Sunday, July 6th at 3:00p.m. at The Church of New Life, 74 Kelly Road Extension, Middlebury, CT.
