Allene Allen

Naugatuck, CT Allene S. (Schildgen) Allen, 96, the widow of George L. Allen, Sr., died peacefully on October 30, 2017.

Allene was born on August 7, 1921 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Buckmiller) Schildgen, Jr., and had lived most of her life in Naugatuck. Allene retired from Timex where she had worked for many years as a quality control foreman.

Allene is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Breton of Beacon Falls and Allene E. Allen of Naugatuck; her son, Robert C. Allen and his wife Karen of Lincoln, CA; her daughter in law, Sandy Allen of Naugatuck; her 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Allene was predeceased by her son, George L. Allen, Jr.

All services are private and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
