Alice M. Taber

Alice M. Taber, age 67, of Bristol and formerly of Cheshire entered into rest peacefully at her home on Monday, April 6, 2015. She was the devoted wife of the late Rufus Taber. Alice was born on May 10, 1947 in Waterbury, daughter of the late John and Edna (Miller) Biggins.

Alice was a dedicated Assistant Manager in the office at Meridian Tower, where she resided and was well known to all of the residents, whom she considered her family. She adored her two beloved cats, enjoyed her computer games and she cherished every moment spent with her family and friends.

Alice is survived by her sister Elaine Moquin of Plantsville; brother in law Joe Barbieri of Cheshire, and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her son Christopher Taber; her sisters Pat Barbieri and Kathy Biggins and her brother George Biggins.

Friends may greet Alice’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410, on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 5PM until 7PM. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family. At the request of her family, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
