Alice Cook

WATERBURY- Alice Cook, 82, passed away Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Meridian Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of Robert L. Cook.

Mrs. Cook was born May 27, 1933 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose (Collette) Bessette. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident where she was active at St. Peter and Paul Church. She was an Assistant Purchasing Agent for M.J Daly in Waterbury until her retirement in 1988.

Besides her husband of 57 years, Mrs. Cook is survived by her son Gary Allen and his wife Theary Cook of Arcadia, CA; her daughter Collette Cook of Torrington; her brothers Robert Bessette of Watertown, and Richard Bessette of Margate, FL; her granddaughters Kirstin Cook of Beverly Hills, CA, and Colleen Cook of Arcadia, CA .

Alice’s family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the Staff at Meridian Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care they showed her during her stay.

Arrangements- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Cook will be held 10:30 A.M, Tuesday July 21, 2015 at St. Peter and Paul Church, 117 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, 06705. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710 is assisting with the arrangements. Donations in her name may be made to St. Peter and Paul Church, 117 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, 06705.
