Alexander Chernik

CHESHIRE - Alexander B. Chernik, 18, passed away Sunday October 17, 2010.

Alex was born in Moscow, Russia April 29, 1992 the son of Michael and Jill (Cady) Chernik. He was a 2006 St. Bridget School graduate and a 2010 graduate of Cheshire Academy where he played Varsity soccer and was active in theatre. He was known for his love of Ultimate Frisbee and snowboarding. He was currently enrolled at the University of Vermont in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Besides his parents, Alex is survived by his sister Natalya of Cheshire; his paternal grandmother Olga Chernik of Cheshire; his maternal grandmother Ann Cady of Waterbury; his Aunt Irene Luria and his Aunt and Uncle Lee and James Cattanio as well as several cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Alphonse Chernik and Arthur Cady.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be private and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Meriden. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St.
