Albert Meyers

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Albert Ludwig Meyers, 95, of 28 Evelyn Dr., Naugatuck, died early Sunday evening Feb. 8, 2009 at the Waterbury Hospital He was the husband of the late Martha (George) Meyers, who died in 1993, after 58 years of marriage.Mr. Meyers was born in Oxford, April 29, 1913, a son of the late Frederick and Jennie (Sanford) Meyers. He was educated in the Naugatuck school system and retired in 1978 from the Hayden Switch and Instrument Co. after 13 years of service. He had previous work for New Departure Corp. during the war. He was a member of the Naugatuck Historical Society and had attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Southbury. He is survived by one son, Alfred L. Meyers and his wife Jan of Pittsburg, PA. and one daughter Ann Simon and her husband James of Delaware, OH: 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Feb. 14th at 12 noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1021 Roxbury Rd. (Rt 67), Southbury. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the Church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
