WATERBURY – Albert J. Zorskis, 70, passed away Tuesday August 6, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Patricia (Anton) Zorskis.
Albert was born January 17, 1949, in Waterbury, the son of the late Albert P. and Catherine (Grigas) Zorskis. He was a lifelong Waterbury resident, growing up in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury and attended St. Joseph’s, Tinker Schools and graduated from Kaynor Technical High School.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Gompher during the Vietnam era. He was employed by Anchor Fasteners for 39 years. He had a great love for cars owning a 73 Torino, GTO, Galaxy and a Bonneville. He enjoyed NASCAR and was die hard Boston Red Sox and New York Jets fan.
Besides his wife of 45 years, Albert is survived by his daughters Rebecca Lynn Zorskis-Svedrovic and her husband Alex and Stephanie Brunelli and her husband Brian as well as several cousins. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Rosalie.
Albert’s family would like to express gratitude to the Hospice team with Hartford Healthcare, Angelica, Tara, Alicia, Eddie, Dawn, Pam and Lucinda.
Arrangements – Funeral service will be held on Friday August 9, 2019 at 11 am at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. with visitation beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow in Lake Elise Cemetery in Middlebury. Memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, P.O.
