Cheshire – Albert A. Hozubin, 91, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home in Cheshire. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Cullen) Hozubin.
Albert was born March 1, 1925, in Waterbury, a son of the late Louis and Josephine (Armonot) Hozubin. He was a retired salesman for a local aluminum company. Albert was a former marine who served with the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific Theater during World War II. In his retirement, Albert enjoyed reading and watching documentaries, in addition to visiting with family and friends.
Albert is survived by his daughters, Janet Huxley Wright of Johns Creek, Georgia, Barbara Brumfiel of New Castle, Indiana, Cindy McKenna of Wolcott, and Betsy Hozubin of Mission Viejo, California. He will also be missed by his 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mr. Hozubin was predeceased by his brothers, John and Edward Hozubin, and his sister, Emma Taber.
Arrangements – A memorial gathering for Mr. Hozubin will be held on Friday June 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery.
