Agraciada "Grace" Maldonado

Agraciada “Grace” Maldonado, age 65, of Waterbury entered into rest on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 11, 1954 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Benigno and Matilde (Deleón) Maldonado.
Grace will be remembered for her sweet temperament and for being gentle in nature she had a beautiful soul and genuinely enjoyed caring for others. She loved her daily crossword puzzle and visits from her grandchildren, and was delighted to spend time thrift shopping with her granddaughter, Angelica. Grace loved cooking for family, especially her grandchildren and her brother José she considered this her “labor of love”. She prayed the rosary faithfully, and enjoyed watching Animal Planet shows, playing Candy Crush, and shopping online and from the shopping networks for gifts for her family.
Grace is the beloved mother of Anita Bosques and Christina Bosques, both of Waterbury; and is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Steven Torres, Mariah Carvalho, Christopher Herrera and Angelica Herrera; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Julia and Mateo Torres. Grace also leaves her brother, José B. Maldonado of Waterbury; and sisters, Miriam Otano of Waterbury and Amparo “Nona” Channer of New Britain. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Algin “Winston” Channer-with whom Grace loved to battle in a good poker game or a game of dominoes.
Funeral Services for Grace will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
