Cheshire - Adoria D. Corcoran, 80, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016, at her home in Cheshire, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Gerald P. Corcoran.
Mrs. Corcoran was born on December 7, 1935, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Ruth (Kalyk) Drouin. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Drouin. Adoria was a graduate of Marymount College and a teacher and educator for the Cheshire public schools.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, Mrs. Corcoran is survived by her children, Kathleen Hipona and her husband Rene' of Orange, Gerald Corcoran, and his wife Wendy, of California, Tara Corcoran, of Cheshire, Matthew Corcoran, and his wife Monika, of Cheshire, Deidre Corcoran, of Colebrook, and John Corcoran, also of Cheshire. She will also be missed by her nine grandchildren, David, James, Jason, Michael, Kayla, Erich, Hannah, Kyra, and Travis.
Arrangements- Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, 06410. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. Friends may call at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire, Monday evening, from 4:00 until 6:00. Memorial contributions may be made to Cheshire Public Library Gift Account.
