Ada Merluzzi

CHESHIRE - Ada C. Merluzzi, 97, passed away August 19, 2012 at Masonicare of Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Merluzzi.

Mrs. Merluzzi was born June 22, 1915 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Luigi and Guiditta (Pierpaolini) Bartolini. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident before moving to live with her daughter Judith and her family in Cheshire. While living in Waterbury she was an active communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was a member of the North Italian Women's Society as well as a member of the Christopher Columbo Club in Naugatuck.

Mrs. Merluzzi is survived by her son Joseph A. Merluzzi and his wife Lorraine of Tampa, FL; her daughter Judith Barone and her husband Richard Sr. of Cheshire; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St., Waterbury. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 S.
